Memories of Somerset
We enjoyed our travels to Wales and England, returning home with many fond memories. England offers so much variety from tourists. There is a vibrant city culture mixed with rich history in the heart of London. And if someone is looking for a few days of relaxation, we highly recommend considering the Somerset area. Somerset is quiet, rural and historic. Would you like to broaden your British vacation experience beyond the typical tourist magnets? Look no further than Somerset as this area will enrich your vacation time and deliver personal memories of Somerset.
We found a lodging in the small village of Dunster. The little town offers its own mix of British history. Dunster is within a leisurely walk to a beach area in one direction. Turn around, and you’ll be at the doorstep of the wonderful Exmoor National Park. And Somerset definitely provided a wonderful quiet few days sandwiched between our time in Cardiff Wales and London England.
We recently shared our memories of the Dunster Yarn Market with Age UK Mobility. The site’s feature on Six English Heritage Locations To Visit In Somerset also spotlighted Cleeve Abbey, Nunney Castle, Stanton Drew Stone Circles, Farleigh Hungerford Castle and Muchelney Abbey.
