Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park
If you are looking for an RV Campsite nearby Zion National Park, we give a strong recommendation to Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park.
GETTING THERE
Yes, we are still RV newbies in our first year of this type of travel. Still, over the years we have stayed at plenty of campsites, be it in tents or camping with friends.
We drove here following a stay at the Cannonville KOA when we visited Bryce Canyon National Park. Just about an hour drive, we found ourselves in the very small town of Glendale Utah. Off the main road to our right, we turned left on West Center Street to access the driveway for Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park.
We pulled in and stopped our rig just in front of the office.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The thing that we first noticed was the quaint comfy feel to this park. Most others we have visited in the past, have been much larger. Here, there are a minimal number of RV pads available. This provides a very cozy quaint feeling.
The check in process was fairly simple and quick. Walking into the office, we confirmed our reservations and were directed to our pull through pad. There were a few items for sale in the office, though options were limited, and access hours were also limited compared to other RV parks.
CAMPSITE OVERVIEW
We found the campground to be attractively priced at $44 per night. There are also a few tent sites available which can be reserved for $20. Prices reflect what was listed at the time of our visit.
There are several pull thru sites available at this campground. Overall, there are not a large number of sites available, so this added to an extremely calm and peaceful setting which we enjoyed at this park.
The tent sites are located in a rear corner of the property. This area has an ample amount of shade trees.
Our site was super level for our Airstream. The pads were compacted dirt. A number of trees on the property provided areas with shade. This was very nice in the Utah heat that we encountered.
GLENDALE, UTAH
As for the town of Glendale where Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park is located, there is literally nothing to do in this town. You’ll drive just over four miles to get to a grocery store.
ACCESS TO ZION NATIONAL PARK
This RV park is located outside of Zion National Park. We found the drive time to be reasonable. You’ll have a short drive down Highway 89 and then turn west on Highway 9. From there, it is a straight drive into Zion National Park.
AMENITIES
- Internet – our access was fairly reliable, though some disconnects occurred randomly
- Bathrooms and showers available – we did use the showers nightly. Unfortunately, some prior guests bashed several holes in each of the doors that you close for privacy in the shower – not to the point where anyone can see through, but just so disrespectful of people who do such damage. Don’t be that person!
- Laundry room
- Full hookups: Electricity: 30/50 amp hookups, Water, Sewer
LIKES
- Pull thru site availability
- Staff was courteous and hospitable
- Campground was quiet and peaceful
We were able to pull in TV channels via our antenna (that doesn’t always happen)
OVERALL EXPERIENCE
This was our 3rd ever campground with our Airstream. And even though we have a small sample size to report back on, it was our favorite RV campground of our Utah trip. As far as campgrounds go, this one is very pleasant, and we would stay here again.
