Planning Your Dublin Itinerary
Dublin offers a tremendous amount of choices for tourists. Â The city has museums, shopping, entertainment, churches, access to nature, and yes, pubs. We recommend one to two key things to do on your daily itinerary. No matter your interests, Dublin surely provides many choices to entice your curiosity.
Travel Resources
We consulted Frommer’s Dublin Day By Day travel guide for identifying specific attractions to include during our trip.  This book helps to identify walking tours, museums, as well as providing days and times that specific places are open to visit. We recommend purchasing a book similar to this one when planning a longer trip.
This Dublin guide provides 19 Self-guided Tours, 39 Maps, and several day trips. You’ll also find recommendations on the best live music and top kid attractions in the city.  It’s a great resource to help you experience the best of Dublin in the smartest, most time-efficient way.

10 Things To Do in Dublin Ireland
This episode starts our journey of 10 ideas to occupy your time in Dublin. On this first episode in the series, we highlight three experiences:
- Exploring the streets of Dublin – notable walking areas include Grafton Street, Henry Street and O’Connell Street. If you’re interested in shopping, you’ll find plenty here. You will likely glimpse some local buskers. There is history to be seen as well. Â We discuss the Irish revolution and evidence of fighting that you can still see today at the Dublin General Post Office.
- Monuments and Statues – when walking the streets of Dublin, you’ll  have an opportunity to honor and learn about famous Irish individuals who are commemorated in statues around the city.  We touch on James Joyce and Daniel O’Connell among several examples you can see while touring Dublin. We also discuss some history about the Spire of London.
- National Museum of Ireland – We enjoy exploring at least one museum when visiting a new city. Â Ireland offers several museums. Â We take you to the Decorative Arts and History branch of the National Museum of Ireland.
And we have more things to do in Dublin, but you’ll need to tune in to our upcoming episodes for the rest of the list.
