Boulder Creek RV Resort is one of the most popular options for RV travelers visiting Lone Pine. Located just south of town on Highway 395, this resort offers many amenities, including RV sites with full hookups, Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, and a hot tub. The park is known for its friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. Beautiful views surround the campground with majestic snowcapped Sierra Nevada mountains often visible to the west. You’ll find clean restrooms, sewer hookups, level sites, and shade trees throughout the property. The Boulder Creek market provides access to a modest range of groceries and supplies. The RV resort also offers tent sites.
Located a reasonable drive west of Death Valley, it provides easy access to the Alabama Hills and Mount Whitney Portal, which are a short drive away. This is an ideal base for exploring the natural wonders of the area. The campground is also adjacent to Owens Lake, a place we’ve enjoyed walking to during our status at Boulder Creek.

Amazing location and great little RV site. There is an excellent short walk that starts and ends from the site. Well worth doing. Also just a few miles drive from the reserve. Staff were friendly and the site was well maintained with good facilities. Overall I would highly recommend.

For those who prefer a more rustic campground experience, Tuttle Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada. Managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), this campground is more primitive than commercial RV parks. However, it’s a favorite for its peaceful atmosphere and proximity to hiking trails and fishing spots. The campground offers basic amenities such as picnic tables, fire pit rings, and vault toilets. Potable water is available seasonally. While there are no hook-ups, the natural beauty more than compensates.

This is a basic and relatively clean campground. During the late fall and winter months there is no water and no dump, so you are essentially paying for just the spot. Some of the spots are a bit uneven, but with a little work you can level your camper/vehicle. The campground feels remote enough to enjoy nature with easy access to the town of Lone Pine for fuel/supplies/restaurants.

Diaz Lake Campground, located just a few miles south of Lone Pine, offers a picturesque setting along the shores of Diaz Lake. We first came to this campground over thirty years ago and loved it. There is a small stream running alongside and a great view of Mt. Whitney. The sites are on the small side. More suitable for tents than motor homes. On my most recent visit I found it in need of some maintenance and repairs. Still, if you want to stay in the Lone Pine area, this is a good choice. Close to the Alabama Hills and part of the way to Whitney portal. It has water and vault toilets.

This is one of the most beautiful place I visited….We stayed in a walk in campground, more work but so worth it, falling asleep with the sound of the river was so nice. Very nice store with great food. Bummed the dogs are not allowed on the trail but I do understand why.
