On episode 48, Julie & Art continue a review of their favorite national park on Sequoia National Park Part 2. We’ve been camping in and around the Lodgepole campground for over 30 years. So, we know a thing or two about this great landscape.  Listen in as we share our experiences to help you plan your future visit to this majestic natural wonderland.

Visiting Sequoia National Park

Sequoia National Park offers visitors a unique landscape. Here, you are rewarded with beauty, diversity and grandeur.  You can behold the highest mountain peaks in the U.S. You can explore caverns and caves and rugged foothills. And, of course, you can look up at the largest trees on our planet.  This national park is located in the southern Sierra Nevada east of the San Joaquin Valley.

Podcast Highlights

In this episode, we discuss more things that you can do in the park, including:

Topokah Falls Trail
Twin Lakes Trail
Crescent Meadow
Crystal Cave
Horseback Riding

Relaxing At The Campground

Be sure to have a comfy share for relaxing at your campsite. We recommend zero-gravity camping chairs which you can find here: Zero Gravity Lounge Chair Recliners

And while relaxing in the National Park, among our favorite authors to read in this setting is Neil Peart.  You can find links to a number of his books which we have read and recommend here: Books That Inspire Travel

And if you missed it, listen to our prior podcast episode (Sequoia National Park Part 1) where we share even more things to see and do at Sequoia National Park. You can easily fill day after day with new things to do and places to explore when you visit here.

Sequoia National Park Resources

When you take the time to learn about a place before visiting, that can help you understand the things you see and experience once you arrive at your destination.  In that spirit, we suggest the following resources which we have used in our travels to Sequoia National Park.
