Cannonville Bryce Valley KOA
We selected the Cannonville Bryce Valley KOA for its proximity to Bryce Canyon National Park. This would be our first full hookup (with sewer) experience as newbie travel trailer owners.
Note: Since our visit to the Cannonville KOA, the property is under different management as Bryce Canyon RV Resort in Cannonville.

Great Location For Local Exploration
This location is roughly 20 minutes from the Bryce Canyon entrance.  It is also conveniently located to Kodachrome Basins State Park, which we also visited during our stay there.
The Cannonville Bryce Valley KOA is right off Utah’s Scenic Byway Highway 12 and North Red Rock Drive. The campground is 12 miles east of Bryce Canyon National Park.
A Personal Escort To Our Campsite
Pulling into the KOA with our Airstream, we stopped first at the lobby area to check in. We were then escorted to our campsite. This was very helpful in navigating to the correct site and we appreciated the offer from the staff.
Campsite Overview
The paths for vehicles including the sites at this KOA are gravel. We had a pull-thru site that fit our 27-foot trailer well. The site had a picnic table and fire pit. We didn’t use the latter, however, as during our stay, the winds were fairly robust and it was difficult to stay outside for an extended period of time.
In addition to RV sites, there are cabins and sites for tents at this location.
General Store Offers Ample Supplies
The main building at the front of the facility has a small store offering various camping supplies. There is also a modest selection of food products available. We frequented the store for milk to spill into our morning coffees and some of the 5% ABV Utah beer. The lobby area also offers numerous pamphlets with ideas for things to do in the area during your stay.
Campground Amenities
Behind the store area in the same building, are showers and bathrooms. I believe these showers are open 24×7. We used these showers nightly versus the shower in our RV (which has still to be used for the first time). The shower stalls are a bit tight, but this is a good option as an alternative for showers.
There was a pool and play area on site as well. We didn’t visit either as our stay at this location was during the Covid-19 era.
Wifi – Don’t Count On Connectivity
We did find the wifi connectivity barely usable. It seemed better in the early morning (perhaps when fewer people were vying for connectivity). By evening time, I would be barely able to access emails. Beyond that – websites, newspapers, etc., forget it.
Conclusion – A Good Experience
Staff was courteous and helpful. Location was convenient to several things to do in the area. We enjoyed our stay.
