Halloween Los Angeles 2024 events are plentiful throughout Southern California. Check out your options below and mark your calendar to attend one or more of these great offerings this year.

Halloween Events Calabasas

Calabasas – Nights of the Jack

The ultimate Halloween event is back at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas.  Nights of the Jack features Halloween fun for everyone.  A 2/3-mile trail at the ranch has blazing gourds around every corner.  See a spooktacular illuminated light show experience under the California autumn sky.  Live carving is demonstrated at this event.

The event is kid-friendly; they can see their favorite characters in pumpkin form. Adults can enjoy a seasonal cocktail at the Spookeasy bar, while the littles can enjoy festive fall treats.  Some of LA’s best food trucks will be serving meals on site.  Don’t forget to visit the souvenir shop before departing to get a memento from your visit.

Most guests spend just over an hour on the site engaging in the activation zone before or after walking the trail.  This is a vastly popular event, typically attracting 100,000 visitors per season.

Long Beach – Fright Dive

This adults-only event is a spook-macular evening featuring a live performance by Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas. More music will fill the air, with DJs spinning tunes in the Aquarium’s galleries. Cocktails, drinks, and food trucks on the front plaza will also be available. Halloween costumes are encouraged. Long Beach – Historical Cemetery Tour

The Historical Society of Long Beach conducts its annual living history tours of the city’s two oldest cemeteries: Long Beach Municipal Cemetery and Sunnyside Cemetery. This year’s tour features stories of famous and ordinary Long Beach residents, acted out by actors–usually from the Long Beach Playhouse–in period costume. This self-guided tour does not aim to frighten but rather to enlighten folks about the people who helped shape Long Beach.

Attractions include Japanese-American history, a Dia de los Muertos installation, and talks by historians. The event is designed for all ages. Performances last 10 minutes and repeat every 20 minutes.

It’s the most fun you’ll have in a cemetery.

Los Angeles – Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party

On Saturday, October 26, the Little Tokyo Ghost Club will transform the community for the annual Haunted Little Tokyo, a fun-filled Halloween celebration with frightfully fun events perfect for ghosts and ghouls of all ages.  The block party event is for ages 21 and up.

One event in Oceanside brings you a celebration of car culture and Halloween.  The Spooktacular event has local organizations, clubs, businesses, individuals, and families hosting decorated trunks in the parking lot at Mance Buchanon Park. It’s a one-of-a-kind haunt experience and has been called one of the top haunted attractions in the United States. Experience two haunts in one.

The 3,500 square-foot eXperiment Maze provides a mile-long terrifying outdoor trail.  Be on guard as you move through twisted pines and gnarled oaks.

Haunted High Street in Moorpark is a thrilling carnival event that promises to delight children aged 3-10. With a wide variety of carnival games, attractions, and prizes, it guarantees a fun-filled experience.

Thousand Oaks – Halloween Haunted Trail

The Conejo Recreation & Park District offers a night full of Halloween fun for youngsters.  The trail ends with a hayride that returns Halloween “hikers” to the “haunted trailhead.”  Attendees in costume can participate in a costume contest with prizes awarded in multiple categories.  The popular “Trick-or-Treat Street” will have Halloween-themed houses with treats available.  A free live reptile show takes place after the costume contest.  

The event takes place on the soccer fields behind the Community Center. This event will sell out, so BUY TICKETS EARLY!

The NextGen Rotary brings a Halloween-themed bar crawl to Main Street in Downtown Ventura. Purchase of a Crawl-O-Ween Passport includes one specialty drink at five different bars/restaurants.  Costumes are optional but encouraged, and there will be a costume contest at 2 p.m. with prizes for “best individual costume” and “best duo costume.”

Proceeds go to Food Share, KidStream, and NextGen Rotary. Attendees must be 21 or over. Drink responsibly. Please bring a valid ID and cash to tip all the amazing servers!!
