Halloween Events Calabasas

Calabasas – Nights of the Jack

The ultimate Los Angeles Halloween event is back at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas.  Nights of the Jack features Halloween fun for everyone.  A 2/3-mile trail at the ranch has blazing gourds around every corner.  See a spooktacular illuminated light show experience under the California autumn sky.  Live carving is demonstrated at this event.

The event is kid-friendly; they can see their favorite characters in pumpkin form. Adults can enjoy a seasonal cocktail at the Spookeasy bar, while the littles can enjoy festive fall treats.  Some of LA’s best food trucks will be serving meals on site.  Don’t forget to visit the souvenir shop before departing to get a memento from your visit.

Most guests spend just over an hour on the site engaging in the activation zone before or after walking the trail.  This is a vastly popular event, typically attracting 100,000 visitors per season.

Long Beach – Historical Cemetery Tour

The Historical Society of Long Beach conducts its annual living history tours of the city’s two oldest cemeteries: Long Beach Municipal Cemetery and Sunnyside Cemetery. This year’s tour features stories of famous and ordinary Long Beach residents, acted out by actors–usually from the Long Beach Playhouse–in period costume. This self-guided tour does not aim to frighten but rather to enlighten folks about the people who helped shape Long Beach.

Attractions include Japanese-American history, a Dia de los Muertos installation, and talks by historians. The event is designed for all ages. Performances last 10 minutes and repeat every 20 minutes.

It’s the most fun you’ll have in a cemetery.

On Saturday, October 25, the Little Tokyo Ghost Club will transform the community for the annual Haunted Little Tokyo, a fun-filled Halloween celebration with frightfully fun events perfect for ghosts and ghouls of all ages.  The block party event is for ages 21 and up.

The event will include all the favorites from previous block parties, including DJs, drinks, food, and a costume contest.

Anaheim – Disneyland: Halloween Screams, Oogie-Boogie, and Dia de los Muertos

Disneyland’s Halloween Screams event features Jack Skellington and his ghostly pup Zero from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” It’s a must-see for Disney fans and Halloween enthusiasts alike. Be dazzled by a mesmerizing display of soaring flames, ghostly projections, and appearances by classic Disney villains, all set to a medley of Halloween tunes that will have you singing (or screaming) along. Haunted Mansion Holiday will run through January 7, 2026.

This year’s highlights include Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Eerie Chills events will feature Mickey’s Trick and Treat, Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, Main Street Pumpkin Festival, and Characters Dressed for the Howl-iday.

If you choose to enter Madam Ruby’s study, that is what is awaiting you. Can you banish the evil spirit and end your family curse before the Weeping Witch consumes your soul?

Haunted High Street in Moorpark is a thrilling carnival event that promises to delight children aged 3-10. With a wide variety of carnival games, attractions, and prizes, it guarantees a fun-filled experience.

Santa Paula – Prancer’s Farm Fall Festival

This fall harvest festival features a 30-acre pumpkin patch and family fun.  Highlights include tractor-drawn wagon rides, pick your pumpkin on 15 acres, hay pyramids, an animal center with a petting zoo, live performers (weekends only), wheelbarrows, a corn expedition, sunflower picking, and a barrel train ride.

Join the Simi Valley Historical Society for their 11th Annual Día de los Muertos festival. This vibrant celebration will feature music, entertainment, craft vendors, kids’ crafts, face painting, and delicious food. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes.

The event honors the traditional three-day Día de los Muertos, celebrated from October 31st to November 2nd, by exploring the beautiful symbols, traditions, and imagery that signify remembrance of loved ones. Participants can also create altars (ofrendas) in the Wood Ranch Barn to pay tribute to those who have passed away.

Halloween Events Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks – Halloween Haunted Trail

The Conejo Recreation & Park District offers a night full of Halloween fun for youngsters.  The trail ends with a hayride that returns Halloween “hikers” to the “haunted trailhead.”  Attendees in costume can participate in a costume contest with prizes awarded in multiple categories.  The popular “Trick-or-Treat Street” will have Halloween-themed houses with treats available.  A free live reptile show takes place after the costume contest.  

The event takes place on the soccer fields behind the Community Center. This event will sell out, so BUY TICKETS EARLY!
